In 2008 Dr Allan and Dr Billy had great concerns about how difficult it was for Wellington and Porirua patients to get access to good affordable scans, especially for pregnancy. So together they founded an affordable service in Wellington and Porirua as affiliated sites of Horizon Radiology, concentrating on affordable high quality scanning. Since then we have made a really big difference to the pregnancy experience of so many grateful women in Wellington and Porirua.

To further enhance our ability to serve the greater Wellington community we have restructured and renamed ourselves as Wellington Imaging in 2024. We now offer a wide range of diagnostic imaging services including x-rays, ultrasounds, pregnancy scans, steroid injections, fine needle biopsy as well as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections.

We use the latest digital technology to produce the highest quality digital images. By using digital imaging we can view the scans and x-rays on the spot. It also allows your care provider to look at your images in our secure server.

We offer a full range of ultrasound scanning procedures. These scans are performed by highly trained sonographers working under the supervision of senior radiologists. We are the experts in pregnancy, gynaecology, musculoskeletal and general imaging. You can be confident your scans will be reported by specialists.

We are part of the Onshore Panel physician network for Immigration New Zealand. We are approved to perform immigration X-rays.
